DOG BLOG

Over the following weeks, I am going to try to feature as many breeds of dog as I can. Because I love them.

This week, it’s all about the Hungarian Vizsla. More specifically, my Vizsla, Boo.

Known as the Velcro Dog, it soon became apparent to us why. I have never met a dog more desperate for cuddles and kisses. She isn’t choosy either - anyone who walks in invited through the front door usually gets a french kiss whether they like it or not. Weirdly enough, some people don’t.

Her favourite type of human is typically weak, therefore easy to floor, and prone to squealing. Long hair is good too - helps her to pin you down whilst licking every scrap of make-up/moisturiser off your face.

Five minutes later, though, she’ll be out for the count, as long as she can sit as close to you as possible, preferably around your neck.

I’m told that Boo is typical of her breed and I couldn’t recommend vizslas enough.

The colours I use to paint Boo’s distinctive russet/gold fur are:-

Burnt Sienna

Cadmium Red

Cadmium Yellow

Titanium White

Crimson

Ultramarine Blue

Raw Umber

Pride of place.
